A downloadable vacation for Windows and Linux

3D vacation platformer where you collect bugs and soothe an angry heron god with fish

Here's how you play:

Use "WASD" to move your guy around. Spacebar to jump
Press "E" or left click to talk to NPCs, and pick up fish and items
Move the camera with the the left/right arrow keys or the mouse (if downloaded)

Good luck!!!

All other sprites, models, textures, code, and design by me! Code is open source @ https://github.com/jakeonaut/go-godot-jam (warning: code got very messy during length of gamejam)

(movement, camera, and object throwing code largely adapted from my old godot project https://github.com/jakeonaut/endless-fantasy-dungeon)

The theme of growth is incorporated into the game in a multitude of ways. First, the herons grow when you feed them fish. Also, the player character grows in abilities as they explore the island and catch bugs and get new items. Also, the player character literally grows three times as big when they collect enough mushrooms. Also, I grew as a developer while making this game over a week! Finally, my level of stress grew trying to cram all the features into this game in such a short amount of time. Thank you

Install instructions

Hi! I have never exported a godot project before, but it seems to work on my computer (Windows 10 desktop).

For Windows: download the zip file, unzip it, and double click the .exe to play it! Don't delete or move the .pck file or the game won't run.

Let me know if you have any issues, and I will commiserate with you and maybe not know how to help

Loved the whole style of this game!

aw thanks!! it was fun to see you play it! you did feed all 5 herons so I am not sure why the game bugged on you, maybe you have to finish it with the blessing from the sun fish.. I kind of forgot how I programmed the end sequence haha
